last night was my last class of my first time teaching Jewelry + Metalsmithing… i had a great group of students, and i will miss them. in the card they gave me, one of them wrote, “the calluses and flesh wounds were totally worth it.” that might be the best compliment i’ve ever received!

My brass knuckle engagement rings (‘Til Death Do Us Part) are enjoying some posting action in the blogosphere! Check out some of the posts…
I made these back in 2006, right before I left Madison for grad school at SUNY New Paltz. I guess a good idea never dies?

For any of you in the Boston area, check out the opening of “Nesting” at Michele Mercaldo Contemporary Jewelry Design (www.michelemercaldo.com) on Thursday, October 14th, 6-8PM.
I have a few rings in this show, along with a number of other jewelers who’ve made work on “nesting” theme. I can’t make the opening, but really wish I could!
